I'm not sure how much information Rice has that could be considered a "National Security Risk", but it would seem to me, the fact that she is still in office, and we are still fighting the War on Terror, it would not be a good idea for her to testify.
I feel for the families of 9/11. But at this time, I do not think it would be a smart move to reveal our weaknesses right now. Let's say, the investigation turns up they reasons for how 9/11 took place. The first thing the media and public is going to demand an answer as to what has been done to correct it? OK....now the media, the general public and every terrorist is going to know. How dumb is that?
